I get it. You can definitely fast too much. But it's just so convenient to not have to bother with meals. And in the summer, it really helps keep you more cool.
160 pounds lost, 140 pounds more to go, gonna still do intermittent fasting. Main thing now is starting to add in more exercise and weight lifting now that I'm capable of moving more. (started at 500 pounds, down to 340, goal is 200)
I’ve experimented with 18:6, 20:4 and 23:1. I’ve mostly settled on 16:8 as it’s more sustainable and gives me time to rest digestion daily. I have an early lunch and early dinner and try not to think of it beyond that. If for whatever reason I can’t have lunch, then I’m doing a longer fast, but I find the less I think about it, the more sustainable it is for me.
Thank you for this highly educational and honest approach to fasting describing the pitfalls and dangers. If one gets addicted to fasting it might end in anorexia. That´s a mortal danger. The added advice to avoid this is just what is needed. So, thank you very much for sharing and caring.
I’m at my ideal weight , I fast between 14-16 hours everyday , 2 big meals/ day, I find I can eat much healthier by cooking at home and no junk foods, I have not gain any weight since I started to fast 5 years ago , I feel good and no health problems at all, and I am 59, look 10 years younger than my age, that’s what my friends & colleagues told me❤
Truth! Thanks for putting it out there Thomas. Balance is always key

I’m totally feeling this after fasting for so long!! I’m pulling away a bit and it feels liberating.
