Greenspan knew about the Sub-prime scam and let it happen, he is as guilty as Fany May & Freddy Mack and made money under the table .. a terrible man
That’s like saying the greatest thief in history
I remember the Housing Bubble occurred under his watch and he had absolutely no idea what to do as Fed Chairman. Not a bad guy, but fairly ineffective as a Fed Chair.
Crazy to think he still had 19 years in the tank during this interview.
This individual pushed to have those who wanted oversight of subprime lending practices and unethical packaging of mortgages by Wall Street, discredited and then removed from office. In a sense he caused the crisis and damaged both American interests and those of other nations materially. He was unwise, and suffered from unchecked hubris. He was an acolyte of Ayn Rand, and believed Government should do nothing to ensure ethical conduct of Wall Street. He ended his stellar early career discredited in the extreme.
Better cars? I suggest they stop being so damn greedy!
Rest in Peace Mr. Greenspan
the man who was there
