Prior Authorization is the new “Pre-Existing Condition”. May whoever dreamt this up rot in hell.
Prior authorization needs to be completely abolished.
Working as a pharmacy tech who deals with prior authorizations all the time and interacting with insurances, its honestly insane how an insurance can ask so many questions about the use of this medication and it can be denied if a question is answered no. A doctor knows their patient more than the insurance companies and their pharmacist who reviews these requests. Its honestly insane.
This is why Luigi was more applauded than hated
Insurance shouldn’t have a say in what you need for healthcare. They made themselves the social safety net, so they should act like it
It’s insane how what’s been known for YEARS is now becoming major issues. These predatory companies will never put consumer over profits
