So for the first time, I guess it was aliens?
Saw a very well-received talk on this subject - Mars seeding Earth - at 2001 American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco. One of the arguments was that the common ancestor of all three branches of life has cellular mechanisms to protect against free oxygen, but the divergence between Eukaryota, Bacteria, and Archaea was at a time a billion years prior to the presence of free Oxygen on Earth, but at a time where there may have been free Oxygen on Mars.
Conan the Bacterium. What a great name.
Anton is, sort of, saying it's Aliens... BUT, it's us? Me, looking in the mirror. 🖖👽
As a schoolboy I remember having this vivid revelation that we were all from Mars and it made me cry. Quite a weird childhood experience.
If you ever feel like the day stops 39mins and 38seconds too early, maybe this is why
I honestly don’t see how there couldn’t have been life on Mars at one point. Mars once had water like Earth, and our two planets have been exchanging rocks since the formation of the solar system. It would be interesting if we found fossilized life on Mars, but we couldn’t figure out which planet it originated from.
Life May Have Been More Likely to Originate on Mars Than on Earth, Smithsonian article 2021.
I used to feel almost embarrassed that manifestation never worked for me. Everything felt forced and unnatural. Manifest the Divine by Elena River was the first thing that actually acknowledged that struggle instead of glossing over it. Since then things have been unfolding quietly, without pressure. ❤
Life is probably absolutely everywhere. But it's all just crabs.
