Part of being an adult is actually taking notes and applying this in your life. It's so easy to just listen and notice how I relate, but if I don't apply it, it's just entertainment...
So, having David Goggins voice in my mind is a bad thing? 😂
it was pushed into my head by my negative mother

It's not about being highly critical of yourself, it's about the truth. If you're fucked, and it's your fault, and you're not doing much to rectify that, it's the truth. It might not be helpful, but it's the truth. Saying yourself that you got this will not help as well, especially if you do not believe it.
I needed to hear this; it was a very reassuring clip. I will be forever nicer to myself now and practice more self-compassion.
Great video. Don't waste precious time criticising yourself. Just do your best, rest after a hard day's work, take time out for yourself, read a good book,. Currently reading 'Attack on Planet Falrus' by Joanna Monigatti. Good fun, adventure, stress-relieving.
Love this, in what you share via your Monday 3mm email weekly... It’s common wisdom to say “the only criticisms that sting are the ones that are true”. I disagree. It hurts, I think, because yes it's not true !!!. But because it's a fear we hold but perhaps 'blind" to understanding that insight. And thus it keeps us up at night. Thinking the thing under the bed is real until the first rays of sunlight come through the window of the new day.... Those nights as a kid just frozen till the new light of the new day ...endless. But they do and will end with each new day
I just pray every morning that I don’t deceive myself.
