I swore by Zinc-based Zicam nasal swabs and throat sprays when I began using them in the early 2000s. I went from getting colds all the time to almost never getting a full-blown cold. As long as I took it as soon as I felt that tickle in the back of my throat it would rarely develop into a full cold. For years, it was a God-send. Then at some point in the late 2000s it just...stopped working. Every tickle developed into a full blown cold from that point on. I couldn't understand. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the FDA required the manufacturer to remove zinc from zicam due to product complaints. The zinc really had made a dramatic difference.

Well....family of 4 here. We always were getting a cold 2 x a year. Then covid came about and we got tested for vit D and the 4 of us were very deficient , between 8 to 15 ng/ml. We started dosing 5,000 IU a day the 4 of us. Since covid we have been sick maybe once, yes, once in 6 years. Our vit D levels today are in the 50-70 ng/ml and personally I am in the 95-110 ng/ml. Vitamin D does work, or at least it works extremely well in people that are deficient who happens to be the majority. Vit D regardless of whatever I read has been a life changing supplement for us.

Didn't we learn this with Covid? Zinc plus Quercetin as an ionophore.

The main problem with honey nowadays is finding any that isn't adulterated. I only trust it straight from the beekeeper.

Many people in South Georgia will know that strips of zinc are placed along the bottom of roof lines to prevent moss and algae from growing on the roof. Therefore, when zinc first started appearing on the market as an anti-cold medicine, it clicked for me that the reason zinc was working was for what it did to the surfaces where the virus grew (throat and nasal cavities), and not by boosting your immune system. Some may also recall that the early version of OTC zinc medication came with a cue-tip to rub inside your nose. For the past fifteen to twenty years, I have dissolved zinc (Airborne brand or equivalent) in a small cup when I feel I am getting sick. I scrub the solution inside my nose and then gargle with the balance that is left in the cup. I am not exaggerating when I say have not had a cold in nearly two decades. I am usually a hardcore clinical trials guy who dismisses anecdotal data, but nobody can convince me that my process does not work.

To be fair to Vitamin D, it supports your immune system if you maintain sufficient levels. Taking a 'megadose' once you're already sick isn't going to miraculously cure you of anything. 'Researchers' kept testing this same pointless Vit D megadosing strategy during the pandemic.

Pure Gold. Blow-out quality here. I invite viewers to read between the lines. Dr. Zelenko combated the big one with Zinc + a Zinc Ionophore. At first, he used Hydroxychloroquine, but later pivoted to Quercitin for its common availability. Elderberry and Cranberries have Quercetin. This video adds nuclear weapons to my arsenal. Just look at the jumbo list of research he lists, above! When I get a virus, I go in there with all guns blazing. The only downside to a rapid recovery is some lingering exhaustion from the battle. Dr. Stanfield Rocks!
