I completely changed my diet six months ago based on nationally recommended guidelines, but it only made my health worse. It wasn’t until I read 'The 23 Former Doctor Truths' that I realized doing the opposite of what the government advises can actually make a difference. No wonder the doctor who wrote it left their career—speaking the truth often challenges the system!
By following a ketogenic diet and the principles that you outline in your videos I ended up dropping $6,200 worth of medications per year. That adds up to about $17 a day that I can spend on good food. It's much better to spend money on good food than on medications for symptoms.
Short Summary: Avoiding fats for 30 days harms energy, brain function, mood, skin, and more. Natural fats were once essential for survival. In the 20th century, industrialized foods increased processed vegetable oils and reduced animal fats. Natural fats are healthier than modern refined oils. The issue isn’t fats themselves but the type and how they’re consumed.
A low/no fat diet would quickly give you severe depression.
I did this for almost 3 months 6 years ago and holy moly it destroyed my body, my hair, my skin, my mood, my hormoes... I felt like I had no sexuality😂 I craved heavy cream!!! Something that I had never eaten before in my life and always were disgusted by it! I still remember how good it felt when I ate that organic heavy cream and how good I felt almost immediately. Fat is life. Without fat we wouldn't be here today.
My doctor told me I have cholesterol and should stop eating fat and go on medication, so I said no and cut out sugar&carbs, and started eating fats, keto diet,never been healthier! I stay away from doctors!
I am a retired RN, so have a firm grounding in basic science. That is why I love your videos, Dr. Ekberg, because, when you do a deep dive, it all makes sense and I know you are giving us the truth. I’m a diet controlled type II diabetic working hard to make it go away. Now I eat a fat burning diet (two tablespoons of heavy cream with a couple of shakes of cinnamon in my coffee is like dessert!) and keep carbs low, as well as intermittent fasting. Carbs are in the form of berries and vegetables and occasionally sourdough toast with butter. I’ve lost 45 pounds, so fa, A1c went from 5.4 (a number which I was very proud of) to 4.1! Who knew that was even possible? I’m almost 80 - it’s never too late. And it’s all because I happened to come across one of your intermittent fasting videos while scrolling, one day. Thank you, thank you, Dr. Ekberg. You have made a huge difference.❤

Me, me, me! I stopped eating fats & turned to vegan foods & during those 1.5 months --- my skin got wrinkly, I got so sick & my doctor declared I was malnourished. My brain was so foggy that I stopped going to work. My doc actually told me to go back to eating animal meats w/ fats. I recovered then. 😂
I try to tell my mom this but she is stuck in the low-fat mentality. She never feels good.
