here is the summary: A natural lavender oil extract (standardized as Silexan) has been shown in clinical studies to reduce anxiety as effectively as benzodiazepine medication—but with fewer side effects and lower addiction risk. 🧠 Here’s how it works: anxiety is driven by an overactive amygdala and stress response. Medications slam on the brain’s “brake pedal” (GABA system), which works fast but leads to tolerance. Lavender oil gently nudges the same GABA pathway, helping restore calm without forcing it. 🌿🚗 The research used 80 mg/day of a purified, pharmaceutical-grade lavender oil capsule, not random essential oils. Effects build up over several weeks, not instantly. Most people take it in the evening, as it also improves sleep. 😴
Felix takes a lot of time to put these videos together. The least you can do is give him a thumbs up! 👍👀
Lavender has linalool, which is one of the terpenes found in some strains of cannabis that helps to relax the body and mind
I never assume natural remedies as weaker; only assume the pharmaceutical company has a monopoly, & has erased many old remedies. Killing us for profit.
I needed help with anxiety NOW. So halfway through watching this vid I got out my new bottle of lavender essential oil and put it on my wrists. It helped so much. I'll put the lavendar supplement on my shopping list and try to budget for it.

As a mental health practitioner, while working on an in patient psych ward as a group therapist , I used lavendar oil with highly anxious group members, back in 2012. Lavendar oil is fairly well known for its relaxing properties. I agree one must use quality ingredients.
It starts with the identity of the plant producing the oil. Fragrance oriented oil is probably derived from Lavandula x intermedia. It is hybrid of Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula latifolia. Aside of variance in growth and harvesting conditions those are botanically not the same plants. So you are certainly right, standardizing for active compounds is critical, but without the proper starting material that just does not work.
Then there's Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm, located in Upcountry Kula at 1100 Waipoli Road, perched 4,000 feet on the slopes of Haleakala. Established by horticulturalist Ali’i Chang. They serve a multitude of dishes infused with lavender. My wife and I ordered the lavender scones. There is a pottery cottage off from the main building with a porch with large rocking chairs. The porch overlooks the valley between the Haleakalā volcano and the West Maui Mountains (Mauna Kahalawai). At 4,000 feet high you are above the clouds. It was very peaceful and quiet sitting there listening to the birds chirping and watching the clouds down below drift silently by above the valley.
Just a note of caution...I had an herb garden and loved just picking leaves as I tended to it. I especially learned that I loved lavender. I would chew a few then chop some into my salad...all of a sudden (after a few weeks of this) I started feeling like I was passing out 😮 and it kept happening each evening...I went to the doctor as I was about 65 then...he did the neck artery scans.. nothing.. sent me home with a 24 heart monitor...nothing....the lavender season was over...it stopped happening....months later I read an article about lavender and syncope! Bingo! It has never happened again and I am 71.. but I don't over do lavender. It activates your parasympathetic nervous system and syncope is scary.
