I am 43 and just had my first baby 40 weeks on the day completely naturally. Doctors all said a pregnancy would be impossible because they said I had very few eggs and closed tubes. Here to tell you to pray and to not listen to doctors so much. They are not in control. Also, even if you supposedly have very few eggs left, it's always going to be more eggs than the number of cycles you have left, so don't let that discourage you. I hope that makes sense.
What a fortuititous coincidence. I just found out I'm pregnant, and Andrew Huberman comes in with the relevent deets.
This conversation felt genuinely useful. Not fear-based, not vague, just clear information that helps women think earlier and more calmly about fertility.
I turn 44 in a few days. I’m single and really want a family. I’ve been feeling very depressed about where I am in life but this gives me a bit of hope.
I bet there are thousands of people wondering why there OBGYN didn’t order an AMH earlier.
As someone who started trying to conceive at 36, I started tracking ovulation and realized my hormones were off, I bought a home hormone tester and got official numbers. I then had to advocate for my right to get my hormones tested and see a fertility specialist for about 3 months before the doc put in my referral, and that is with a history of thyroid disease. My AMH was very low, I then had a further eval with my thyroid and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. If I had not been firm in getting care I would just still be trying with no answers. I am now about to start my first round of IUI. I wish I had heard this at 30! Thank you for this episode!!

I had infertility issues for 8 years! For 8 years I tried it all, and nothing worked the sad part is my Dr. Never did any testing, it wasn’t until I started watching YouTube videos I found out about Clomid, and thank to God I now have a one and a half year old baby girl, who is extremely precious. THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION!!
This is one thing I keep telling my nieces, (I’m a boy mom) to please check your hormones early. Just so that they have a base line on their hormone levels, so that when they reach their perimenopause/menopause phase, they know where they stood when they were in their prime. They never taught us when we were younger, so I keep implementing it to any young female that I know.
I am a medical doctor. I’m 38 trying to get pregnant with my third. This was enlightening! Thank you. She is brilliant. Thanks Andrew great episode
