When Dr. Mike was talking about why doctors get burned out – that they want to do the right thing, but the system is set up so that they cannot - I could really relate to it because I am a teacher. Many of us feel the same way. We see that there are major problems in the system, but there’s no way for us to change the system as we have no voice in the decision-making process. We do, however, have front row seats to see exactly what the effects of the decisions are. They range from irritating to tragic.
I've read that US hospitals also put things on the bill that they didn't provide! It's straight up fraud at this point.
Mel, with all due respect, haven’t you created and are selling a protein drink? I have been listening to your content since 2019 or maybe even earlier and have found great value and help. I appreciate all you do and yet have found so many of the health advocates in the public to either want to sell a book, supplement or program. It definitely adds to confusion and frustration. Once again, I appreciate your mission and thank you.
Health is far more than just clinical data or lab reports; it is a reflection of our holistic quality of life. The analogy used by Dr. Mike regarding 'Energy Allocation and Depletion' is profoundly insightful from a physiological standpoint. As a complex biological system, our body possesses an incredible innate capacity for 'Homeostasis'—the ability to self-regulate and heal. However, without adequate sleep and emotional grounding, this metabolic energy is scattered and wasted. Ultimately, 'Longevity is not just about extending lifespan, but optimizing healthspan.' This conversation beautifully highlights that the true essence of medicine is to make life worth living, not just longer. Thank you, Mel Robbins and Dr. Mike, for this much-needed perspective!"
