Description

You have more control over your life and future than you think – and it’s sitting on your plate. If you want to lose weight, feel energized, crush cravings, clear brain fog, calm inflammation, slow aging naturally, enjoy your life, and finally stop feeling confused about what to eat, this episode will change your relationship with food forever. Today, Stanford epigenetics scientist and nutrition researcher Dr. Lucia Aronica joins Mel for a research-backed, hope-filled conversation about how to eat to live longer, stay young, and feel better than ever. She says food isn’t just fuel – it’s information. Every bite sends signals to your body that shape your energy, your metabolism, your focus, and how fast you age. Dr. Aronica says that means you are never stuck – not because of your family history, not because of the current state of your health, and not because you’ve resigned yourself to “this is just how it is now.” Every meal is a chance to send a different signal to your genes. And when you start doing that consistently, you become a different person at the cellular level. You’ll learn: - The #1 reason losing weight feels hard and why Dr. Aronica says you’ll never need a diet again - Why inflammation ages you faster than time, and what to do about it - The egg myth keeping you from a stronger brain and healthier aging - The anti-aging kitchen hacks that will change the way you see tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, and other foods - The surprising truth about dark chocolate - How to make eating healthy easy and fun - How to help someone you love make positive changes Dr. Aronica says you’re in charge of your health story. Once you learn the framework that sets you up for success, you’ll be able to make your life a masterpiece, one bite at a time. I have never witnessed someone being so good at teaching complex mechanisms. The way Dr. Aronica explained things got me leaning into the screen and smiling just like Mel was (At one point, I thought if I leaned in any closer I would atctually be in the room with them. LOL) This is amazing. Huge props. And thank you for this powerful episode, Mel <3.

I love all of this. I learned all about this in 2011 when I did a vegan study. It was life changing on how I saw food and always remind myself. "I don't live to eat, I eat to live"! When also I found out about how a lot of our issues are not genetic we can change the direction of what our parents had. I choose every day to eat better and healthier bc I am in control of what I put into my body. "My body is my temple". I know when I fall off that wagon and all I do is just jump right back on. ❤

Dr. Lucia is proof that an Italian can speak poetically about hard core science. Loved the podcast! ❤

Always funny how every expert says a diff “magic food” 😅 I tried all of them… kale, chia, weird powders… still felt heavy and tired. Honestly thought something was wrong with me. Then in a womens forum ppl kept mention Eat.Like.a.Woman.Protocol written by -L. Green. Followed some of it and ended up 28lbs lighter and way more energy. Feels like hidden info.

Mel, This is probably the single best episode you have ever produced. It is also the most life-changing and accessible. Please have your team develop a handout that tells us what we need to do. This is incredible. Her course on her website is for practitioners not mere mortals. 😅 Help us out with an actionable handout. Love you, Mel!

Tried vegan, raw food, and finally I am eating the way she describes, nose to tail, fruits, veggies, fermented foods, bone broth, organ capsules, eggs. My hair got healthier and thicker, and my skin improved and now I am finally getting enough protein so I have more muscle and energy, and feel healthy overall. I finally found the right diet for myself!

this made me slow down and think more instead of reacting instantly. That alone is useful.
