I used a carnivore diet to improve my health for about 2 years. It's very powerful. Recently, I started including some whole fruits & vegetables, which has improved my health even further. I'm still low carb, but super metabolically healthy and physically active. This balance is perfect for my current state. I love that Paul evolves, as necessary.
Guys, the ultimate lesson here is that we all continue to learn and grow from experience. Finding out what works best for us as individuals is a constant evolution. As lowes says: never stop improving.
I am 62 and tried carnivore for severe arthritis issues. For the first month it was amazing. Now in about month 5 I have terrible insomnia. Even taking electrolytes I get leg cramps and palpitations. I think the initial great feeling was from eliminating all the gluten and processed foods. I have found I feel better continuing to eat non processed meat and adding a bit of fruit, veggies and a piece of Melba toast when I feel the need. It’s funny, but my body seems to tell me. I’ll crave a handful of blueberries, or some asparagus and after I eat it I feel fine. I’m learning to listen to my body. I won’t go back to processed foods again but will stick to my own tailored “mainly meat” diet. ❤
I am 14 and have been on a carnivore/animal based diet for around 2-3 months. I quit junk food. My diet mainly consists of steak, grass-fed ground beef, pasture-raised eggs, bacon, organic wings ,a2 milk, pineapple, pomegranates, bananas honey, and wild blueberries. I really enjoy watching your videos I'm always learning new stuff and keep up the amazing work!
My respect for you Paul has grown stronger now. Massive respect for people who change their minds due to evidence, and not stick to a dogma just because it's part of their public persona or job
I love the carnivore community and I also love people being truthful.
Much respect to Paul for staying open minded and being willing to admit when he was wrong.
Hi, just watched your video and feel like sharing my story. I was seriously ill. It all started in childhood. And already in 1984 when I was 12 I was diagnosed with PCOS, headaches, fatigue and when I was 15, Endometriosis, IBS, kidney stones and so on.. It got worse and worse over the years and around 1990 I developed gastritis and was given Omeprazole. In 1992, I started having heart problems, both palpitations and irregular heartbeats. Was given In 2011 I had over 80 symptoms and diagnoses such as Fibromyalgia, IBS, IBD, Endometriosis, PCOS, Gallstones, kidney stones, GOUT, chronic headaches, CFS, fatty liver, irregular spaces, around 8000 per day, numbness, paralysis, restless sleep, anxiety, depression etc. The last two years, when I was sickest in 2013-2015, I got help from my partner in the shower, got help getting dressed, etc. I couldn't cook, i couldn't walk. I was like a sick old 90y woman. I was so weak and was close to getting a walker. In 2014 when I was 42 years old, five doctors also suspected MS. (Multiple sclerosis) Also beginning of Parkinsons. In 2015 when the doctors said there is no cure for MS, I started my research and I found two people in the US who had cured themselves. That's where I got my hope! I read everything I could find, I watched hundreds of videos with naturopaths, doctors, therapists and began my detox journey. I removed all junk food, processed food, gluten, dairy, sugar, coffee (I didn't drink alcohol though) and also removed all medications and painkillers I was taking and have taken for 30y. In the spring of 2017, I felt better than I had in many years, but my heart was still strained and I was 6 weeks away from surgery. Then a therapist came into my life and he mentioned that I needed to detox more deeply, on a cellular level, in order to normalize my issues. I first needed to support my liver, kidneys and adrenal glands and after about 4 weeks I started my watermelon fast with enzymes, toxin-binding and Chlorella. After a couple of weeks my heart started to get a little better, after about 6 weeks it was about 50-60% better and after 2.5 months I didn't feel any double beats anymore. After another couple of weeks, total three months on watermelon fast and the supplements, I felt healthy for the first time in my life. At the same time, I studied to become a detox specialist and the therapist, that still is my Hero, became my mentor. This is now 7 years ago and today I have a life I could only dream of before. In the same vein I got better, I started a group on Facebook and we are today over 30,000 members where thousands today have a healthy life. I have met over 200 doctors in my life. I have had around 25 surgery for cysts on ovaries, fallopian tubes, etc. None of the doctors have talked to me about the diet. They've just waved it off and said that the diet doesn't matter. Your diet is EVERYTHING.... <3 If I hadn't taken hold of my life there in 2015, I honestly don't know where I would have been today. Probably I would have been in a wheelchair and gotten worse, or maybe my liver, kidneys and heart wouldn't have been able to cope. I had fatty liver, even though I never drank alcohol, not even in my youth, plus two cysts, but the doctor said: is so common today, every other person has it. Its NOT NORMAL to have fatty liver when you are 42 😭 But for them its the most normal there is today.. I am now 52 years old and for the first time in my life. I have reduced all my symtoms, all my diagnosis.... I HAVE A LIFE. A life I should have had during my upbringing and as an adult. Unfortunately, society shows otherwise. There are so many still today who believe that diet has no meaning. If I did it, YOU can also Do It 💪♥♥♥
Back in the '60s and '70s when he introduced the "keto" concept, Dr. Robert Atkins warned to limit the time on the weight loss version of his diet as it would be hazardous long-term.
Im so grateful i found your videos Dr Salidino. Im a 38 year old female who has been strict carnivore for almost 18 months. I went on it for chronic pain (didn't work) but i did feel some improvements in other areas. But the last few months I have been utterly exhausted, moody, flat, jerking myself awake like you said, and I just never felt hungry or like i enjoyed food. And whenever I did cheat and eat carbs (even a small amount)I would come out In spots on my body and get awful cramps in my feet and legs. My weight is really low and I just kept losing (im always small so this was never about weight for me) I honestly think there was something really going wrong, possibly with my thyroid. since I found your videos and Instagram a couple of weeks ago ive introduced carbs in the form of fruit, honey, lots of yoghurt and some nuts (don't know if nuts are ok) My energy has sored and thankfully so has my mood. My body still needs to get used to the new foods as I am getting random spots on my neck. But overall I feel I have more energy than I have in a really long time. Hopefully I will gain the weight I need to soon 🙏 I definitely think for some of us, zero carb is not sustainable long term. Everyone needs to find what works best for them. Im thankful I found the carnivore diet as it has changed the way I view food and how important animal foods are to the body, but like yourself, I plan to do animal based from now on.
