We love you Cassie and will pray for your family. Be strong.โค
I am a nurse. I am currently at a crossroads in my life and my career. This movie and your reaction remind me of why I became nurse!!! This came on a day where I needed the most!!! You have reminded me of my purpose!!!
Oh Cassie, hearing your stories, it's no wonder this movie spoke so deeply to you. Thank you for sharing.
Cassie, that is heartbreaking. Please know how much all who watch you will be praying for you and your family. It's because of your obvious beautiful soul that we all watch your channel. Your son is so lucky to have you as a mother and I'm sure he knows it with every beat of his heart. โค๏ธ
I had viral post-measles-encephalitis a half century ago. My experience with โsleeping sicknessโ lasted but seven weeks until I emerged from the comatose state I was in. Frankly, Iโm lucky to be alive at all having fallen vicitm to it just five years after the events of this film. The knowledge base about the brain at that time was, at best, infantile. The resulting brain damage was substantial. On a simple 1-9 scale, the level of brain injury I suffered was an 8, based on symptoms I still carry today. One word really resonated from the film: โswindledโ. I donโt think Iโll ever fully recover from the loss that I have felt over 50+ years of living. But, still, I am lucky in so many ways. I have a wife if forty years who loves me. I have always had a home of my own to live in. This has always been a tough watch for me going back to when I saw it originally in a theater. By comparison, my journey has been simpler and longer, but, at one time, I was not too many steps from lifetime institutionalization, myself.
My favorite quote from Robin Williams is "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind always."
OH WOW!!!!! One of the most beautiful movies ever!!!!! Donโt understand why people donโt react to it!!!!! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING THIS ONE!!!!!โค๏ธ๐
Nurse Eleanor Costello is played by Julie Kavner, who for over 36 years has been the voice of Marge Simpson.
The real awakening here was the staff realizing the unresponsive patients were human beings.
Those of us who have followed you for years may not know you personally, but we share in your ups and downs. We know what a kind and loving person you are, and when you weep, we weep with you. When you laugh, we laugh alongside you. Thank you for all you do and for everyone who makes this channel what it is.
