WICKED PART 2 REACTION IS FINALLY HERE!! Wicked: For Good Full Movie Reaction Watch Along: https://www.patreon.com/thereelrejects - WICKED: Part 1 (2024) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/s-vf7HeOFck - The Wizard Of Oz (1939) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/4eYPZxmdh9M - Gift Someone (Or Yourself) An RR Tee! https://shorturl.at/hekk2 A year after being dazzled by Wicked: Part One, Greg, Aaron, & Johnald RETURN to Oz for their Wicked: For Good Reaction, Recap, Analysis, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review!! Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights), this chapter adapts Act II of the stage musical, carrying the story beyond spectacle into consequence, legacy, and the cost of choosing who you become in the land of Oz. Picking up after the fallout of Part One, the film follows Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo – Harriet, The Color Purple) as she fully embraces her identity as the Wicked Witch, fighting against a system that has turned her into a symbol of fear. Across the divide is Glinda (Ariana Grande – Don’t Look Up, Victorious), now the public face of goodness, forced to reconcile privilege, power, and the painful distance growing between her and her former best friend. Their fractured bond forms the emotional core of the film, culminating in moments that redefine friendship, sacrifice, and how history chooses its heroes and villains. The supporting cast deepens Oz’s moral complexity, with Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers) as Fiyero, torn between duty, love, and rebellion; Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as the manipulative Madame Morrible; and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, Thor: Ragnarok) as The Wizard, whose charm masks devastating political cruelty. Returning roles include Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway) as Boq and Marissa Bode as Nessarose, whose storyline becomes one of the film’s darkest and most consequential threads. Defining moments include Elphaba’s transformation from misunderstood outcast into full-fledged legend, the rise of the witch hunters, Glinda’s public complicity in Oz’s propaganda machine, and the heartbreaking final reckoning between the two women that reframes everything audiences thought they knew about good and evil. With grand production design, operatic emotion, and powerhouse vocal performances, Wicked: For Good delivers a bold, bittersweet conclusion that recontextualizes the Wizard of Oz mythos forever. Wicked: For Good's iconic soundtrack includes: “Thank Goodness,” “As Long As You’re Mine,” “For Good,” "Every Day More Wicked," "The Girl in the Bubble," “The Wicked Witch of the East,” “Wonderful,” “I’m Not That Girl (Reprise),” “No Good Deed,” "No Place Like Home," “March of the Witch Hunters,” & More! #WickedForGood #WickedMovie #WickedPartTwo #OzUniverse #MusicalFilm #BroadwayToFilm #Elphaba #Glinda #FantasyMusical #WizardOfOz #MovieReaction #MovieReview #FilmDiscussion #React #ReactTo #Reaction #Broadway #BroadwayMusical Wonka (2023) Movie Reaction & Review: https://youtu.be/rZ3gyYsf3g0 Hairspray (2007) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/VfV-B9fLsKg Grease (1978) Reaction: https://youtu.be/DzA74JDPzfk 0:00 Checking In! 2:36 Wicked For Good Reaction 1:23:56 JOIN US ON PATREON! 1:25:21 Wicked For Good Review Follow *Aaron Alexander* https://www.instagram.com/therealaaronalexander/?hl=en Follow *Greg Alba* https://www.instagram.com/thegregalba/ https://twitter.com/thegregalba Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ RR Clips & Shorts Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ReelRejectsClips Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Head Editor: https://www.instagram.com/praperhq/?hl=en Supervising Producer: https://twitter.com/nerdchronic?lang=en Co-Editor: Greg Alba Co-Editor: John Humphrey Music In Video: Airport Lounge - Disco Ultralounge by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Follow & Listen to Us Wherever You Get Your Podcasts!! - https://open.spotify.com/show/3XHMwbveiznxSOGxN9XT0M - https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vc3Rhci13YXJzLXRhbGs - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-reel-rejects-tv-movie-recaps/id1616339990 - https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Apocalypse-Podcast/B08JJP58FG PLAYLISTS: Sketches & Short Films: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_zWuTRfBOUP3aYyIYRzc2y

This isn’t the wizard of oz…it’s a retelling of the story.

As soon as greg brought up outside people’s opinions on this movie, I knew this reaction was doomed.

Y’all’s constant “but in the wizard of oz movie-“ might have just hindered how you enjoyed this movie lmao they’re not the same stories. It’s not a functional prequel and takes things from the original novel —like the shoes actually being silver, not red. The POVs are different, this is not Dorothy’s story at all and obviously (with the recontextualizing of Elphaba as a character), in HER pov the “wicked witch” would be a villain to run from. But we know she isn’t, so there’s no hard “switch” of her suddenly becoming evil like …lmao

“There’s some strange choices in this movie.” No you’re just continuously comparing The Wizard of Oz when this is a separate retelling and therefore the events are not canon 😩

Expecting this to line up perfectly with The Wizard of Oz is a fundamental misunderstanding of what Wicked is. It's like watching the Baz Luhrmann Romeo+Juliet and asking if Shakespeare's play included gun-toting street gangs

This is a good reminder that we don’t expect you to watch films like these COMPLETELY blind where some context would of been beneficial for your reaction 😆
