History buff here. The nazis loved Romans and knights. They used a lot of symbols from both. The Roman's had lots of eagle flags, many with double heads. Nazis used the same style but only used a single head. So i can see the confusion but someone with any critical thinking skills would have realized their mistake and let it go. Story #2: sorry, but that friend kinda sucks. Yes, the husband is the primary problem there, but the friend acting like she has to "rebuild trust" with OP when OP didn't do anything to her is not a good sign. It's bad enough that her husband can get in her ear and turn her against her friend, but her saying that just makes me think it's who she is as a person. OP did her due diligence, apologizing and offering to help pay, but sorry, giving birth is a pretty heavy trauma on the body, not to mention caring for the baby after. I hope OP can find and build a better support network.

Sued: The father needs to get an MRI and CAT scan yesterday! If he fell, and hit his head he may have internal bleeding in his skull, putting pressure on the brain. He could die! The damage may already be irreversible.
