Let me quote Terry Pratchett for the story about the girlfriend who hated fiction: "Humans need fantasy to be human. To be the place where the falling angel meets the rising ape."
First Story: This marriage is honestly dead. OP's husband left her on their wedding and she forgives him? OP will become a doormat if she lets this slide
That story about the laptop, and friction had an interesting line. OP's partner said "couples work through things together" didn't sound like they were working through things together when they destroyed OP's laptop.
The fiction story is so annoying. Pokemon is one of the only things keeping me sane in these awful times. Fiction is a nice escape from the horrors of the world.
Story 3: if she thinks Fiction is "degenerate" would that also mean that the shows she watches are degenerate too, or is it "different"?
"She busted my laptop" oh yikes. "I was 13 and she was 16" oh YIKES "I won't live in a house with-" cool. Leave and im also calling the cops
So the girlfriend destroyed someone's expensive property. Yeah throw her out with the ruined equipment. Anyone who calls something *degenerate* is dangerous.
I’m a librarian, fiction is a great tool for teaching empathy because it encourages the reader to view the world through someone else’s eyes and experiences
The last story reads like a crypto ad. “Oh boyfriend but you have soo much crypto money just sitting there”
"I love my husband" sweetheart, he doesn’t love you the same
