Second Story: OP's boyfriend wants OP to read what he writes but refuses to read what OP writes? Honestly, who would want to read a bunch of text from ChatGPT
If someone was getting chat gpt to write out long explanations about how to fix the world and wanted me to read it... I'd get chat GPT to summarize them for me.
Rslash missed the plot with story 2 He is seeking validation and trying to show you how AWESOME he is and get a gold star and a cookie because he's SUPER insecure. He thinks you're smarter due to your apparent writing skill so he needs you to tell him he's just sooooo smart. I wouldn't be mad except he won't read anything she writes specifically for him. I'd start a tit for tat and when he asks me to read something, give him one of mine to read and REFUSE to discuss it until he also reads the one OP wrote. He's being a jerk.
Story four: DO NOT TELL YOUR PARTNER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! My beloved aunt did that and was murdered. Please, please protect yourself. It has been fifty years and I still miss and mourn her.
Dude doesn't even write his own manifesto and he expects his GF to read it?!?! At least write your own goofy manifesto bro! Then maybe you could argue that you put in all this time and effort and you want to share it with her ffs...
That last story: OP needs to talk with his girlfriend. That behavior by his mother is unacceptable and should be addressed. Neither of them needs to fight that battle alone.
Last story. I love my Mum and have a great relationship with her. We would never speak again if she did this to my wife.
Last story: OP should 100% tell the girlfriend that he knows about the messages FIRST before confronting his toxic mother. If he tries to deal with the mom first, said toxic mom is gonna go full scorched earth against the girlfriend, and just make things much worse. At least OP and his girlfriend could potentially be on a united front against the mom, rather than the mom spazing out on the girlfriend out of nowhere (from the girlfriend's perspective).
I've been a Christian pastor for over 30 years now. 20 of those years have been in local parish ministry. When one does that job, you witness a lot of people's relationships. What I have noticed over the decades I have been doing this, is that the healthiest partner relationships are where each partner has their own hobbies. Examples: one person likes to woodwork, while the other likes to quilt. One likes to garden while the other likes to work on classic cars... As long as each person in the partnership takes time to actually be with (not just occupy the same space) with one another this is very healthy.
