For the first story, that person needs to get their mom off of any social media now that she's older. It's harsh, but it's to protect her in her old age
As harsh as it may sound, I firmly believe that any concrete signs of Alzhemier's or Dementia should result in any and all usages of the internet (ESPECIALLY social media) being heavily monitored, if not out right stopped completely.
Story 2: Shouldn't the bank be suspicious that someone else is cashing checks under OP'S account? Shouldn't they probably call OP first before allowing the checks to be cashed? Honestly, the bank disallowing OP to bank with them, pinning everything on OP and said OP'S mom "willingly" cashed it is very unfair. It feels like she's forced to tbh.
Fun fact: It’s actually Kevin Costner’s birthday today lol what’re the odds? lol
After all this, I have to go binge Kitboga and Scammer Payback. Ugh. Protect your friends and relatives from scammers folks!
Kokomo: he needs to leave and call CPS while he's at it. She is literally putting her child in danger
Scammers: Is this a joke to you?! OP: Oh wait, you're serious? Let me laugh even harder!
Kokomo story: Customs does not let you pay a fee to get your money if, for some reason, they are holding it
As someone who works with elderly people, these stories of financial elder abuse by these scammers is extremely heartbreaking!!
Third Story: Honestly, OP should leave this woman. No matter how many times OP explained how lawsuits work and the fact that one of the names in the email confirms they don’t work at the DOJ anymore, she STILL sends these scammers money. Now she is drowning in debt. OP needs to let her make her dumb decisions on her own
