r/Prorevenge I Scammed My Scamming Landlord
Exploiting Contract Loopholes and Unmasking Family Fraud for Major Payback
Discover the legal leverage gained by citing contradictory tenancy terms and how one person successfully reclaimed five years of misappropriated inheritance funds from a greedy relative.
Short Summary
- Secure compensation up to three times the deposit amount by proving landlord non-compliance with deposit protection laws.
- Capitalize on contractual inconsistencies that legally excuse you from performance standards when clarity is withheld.
- Successfully ousted a self-serving grandfather from control of the late father's businesses, restoring financial legacies.
- Exposed a volunteer firefighter's arrogance after he took advantage of a senior lieutenant’s generosity.
This document details two powerful acts of pro revenge: resolving a dispute by using deposit protection failures, and confronting years of financial abuse within a family structure. Readers gain insight into applying persistence and specific legal knowledge to achieve maximum justifiable compensation.

Last story was me! Nice, now I'm Rslash famous.
Appreciate that despite rSlash channel focuses on AITA, he still finds stories from r/Prorevenge and r/Bestof without repeating what other channels have already uploaded.
First story: the fact that the landlord paid the deposit back when told she didn't protect it, and negotiated a very high return on the 5-year thing without going to court. The first is that she absolutely knew that what she was doing was wrong. The second thing is that she has almost assuredly done this multiple times to other people, had to court before, and knew she would lose.
*2nd Story:* Is there a reason OP couldn't sue or press charges against his grandpa for the embezzled funds? Simply kicking him out and telling everyone how he screwed over his grandkids & daughter-in-law for years feels like a mercy.
Story 2: His entire personality was about how successful his son was. That was it. He'll live the rest of his days believing everyone stabbed him in the back as a "This is the thanks you give me?"
Second story, doesn't sound like anyone in OP's family is going to that funeral when the time finally comes. Or even have one because why waste money on someone that had no shame in stealing from his deceased son's family and ruining their lives
One ex landlord threatened to have him and his 2 brothers have a 'conversation ' over me complaining about a cracked window, knowing me and my daughter were home alone all day. I recorded it and told him to give us an extremely positive review to our new landlord (bc of we're now moving!) or we'd go to the cops. He did.
That last story is fairly common, a mediocre person thinks they're the "bestest" [_______] ever. The same happens in the military, someone enlists thinking they'll be a green beret, SEAL, Marine, or any other elite unit and they find out at the end of basic they're neither.
Imagine having a super cool boss that will buy you hella cool dinners and shit and your first thought is to be a dick and take advantage of them
“I hope he lives the rest of his short life regretting that he didn’t live his life with more compassion and humility.” He won’t. Narcissists never do. He’ll just blame the world until his last breath.
