Dear Emily, I’m unsure who asked for you to go over to someone else’s stream (doesn’t matter) but I want to thank you so much for doing your own thing. I am subscribed to a dozen legal/crime channels. You are far and beyond THE BEST! You are appreciated by thousands of law nerds. Thank you for your fair and “unsensationalized” approach. You are sensitive to your fans as well as the victims. Upon further review, 41:10, I was wrong, they asked her to backup to watch law&crime’s coverage of the PCA. still rude in my opinion, we watch Emily for her analysis which is always fair, intelligent and factual. Facts not F***ery. I apologize for my error. But I stand by my statement that Emily is the best at breaking down the cases and that is why we keep coming back.

I hope the surviving roommates have a good support system and therapist right now. What they went through is traumatic and seeing so many people judging and/or speculating over their actions must be horrible.

Honestly, if i were the surviving roommate who saw the killer, i would be locked up in my bedroom and under my bed. I would probably be trying to convince myself that I didn't see what I saw, and wait until someone come gets me or until I hear some type of normalcy outside. I hope she gets the help she needs and uses this experience to propel herself forward. Good bless those two young girls, and let time heal them from this horrible experience.

Re: the surviving roommate who saw him: I can imagine that since they frequently had people coming and going from the house it probably wasn’t too out of the ordinary to see a stranger. And even if she was somewhat concerned I know how easy it is to talk yourself out of your own instincts. It makes me sad to think of what those two girls are going through.

To the person who asked the question about criminology: I have my degree in criminal Justice and criminology, and no, things are not held back during those courses. We go into crimes like this with a fine tooth comb to understand aspects of crime. We had extensive lessons on death penalty, crime deterrent, how people commit crimes, and how criminology plays a role in apprehending suspects. But, it doesn’t really teach people how to crime better, especially in these cases, because what you learn, essentially, is there’s absolutely no way to leave no trace, especially in this modern era and especially with brutally violent crimes and especially when a victim has the ability to and does fight back. Criminology is also about a lot more than just how people commit crimes and how you catch them. You tend to focus on areas of criminology when you study and a lot of it can be philosophical. Such as: what is justice? What does it mean? Why is it important? What are the different philosophies of different justice systems? What works and what doesn’t to create a “utopia” of no crime. Why do people commit crimes? What does and doesn’t deter crime. Etc. etc. The fact of the matter is that people aren’t teaching these courses thinking someone in the room is trying to learn how to crime better, they’re teaching these courses with the understanding that the people in the room have a genuine interest in criminology and criminal Justice and helping people understand what that means. I know probably a lot of us who watch way too much true crime content see the roommate as terrible for not calling immediately, however we tend to forget that not everyone thinks it's automatically something bad when something happens. These are all college students in a room mate situation. If you opened your door abs saw a stranger, you wouldn't think "bad" necessarily, you would probably think "roomy brought home a guy friend"... especially after a party. A dude with a face mask and hat just looks like a dude who wants to keep covid free, not ski mask murderer. The roomy said what she heard sounded like they were playing with the dog. She cries, maybe the guy is breaking up with her. There are a thousand different reasons why it wouldn't necessarily be a bad scenario, and only that one that makes it tragic. Those survivors are gonna go through hell in their own guilt, we don't need to pile any more on that. Leave the room mates alone.

I’ll give credit where credit is due,the police did their work thank god on this. They kept it tight because they want to see justice for the victims.

So many people criticizing the roommate for freezing and not checking up on their friend, but they didn't have the hindsight that we have to know what had happened, and I can definitely imagine being afraid to look and see the aftermath 😶
