Kennels are IT for me. He was there moments before their phones locked forever. It resonated with me that he never said I wish I hadn't left the kennels. In fact, there was no I wish I did this differently. No regrets, no survivers guilt, no What Ifs from Alec.
I’m glad Alex testified. Everything his colleagues said about him is true. He knows how to read people, he knows what to say to invoke emotion and sympathy, we are only seeing him at his lowest point, but imagine what he was like in his prime. A master of manipulation.
Congratulations on 700K! I’m shook that Alex took the stand, but here we are, and I will be on the replay crew later this week! I just wanted to say congratulations on 700K.
So right Emily. Never heard “I wish I had stayed at the kennel. I wish I had driven by the kennels on my way to moms. I don’t know why I didn’t. Why didn’t I go by and see if they wanted to come”
Something that has been tickling my brain is the fact that Alec has been inundated with the concept of legacy all his life. His great grandfather and so on. I wonder if that's why Buster is still alive. Alec wanted to kill his family, but he needed his eldest son, the one who was going to be a lawyer, to carry on the bloodline and the legacy. Maybe a crackpot idea, but I don't know.
To put in perspective the amount of 700,000 subs, the popular show 48 Hours only has 500,000. Congrats Emily & team! Well deserved and thanks for all you do
“I wish I could help you with that” Alex Murdaugh in the police interview talking about how Maggie and Paul got to the kennels… something he does know.
That cross was so much better than we give Creighton credit for. All the hours upon hours of cross about every single detail of when AM decided to lie felt painful and so over the top but it actually had an end goal to it. Creighton didn't just speculate AM was lying this time too, he didn't just want to accuse him of it, he wanted to actually _prove_ that AM was just lying to the jury's faces. This entire cross-examination was one big show-and-tell because he knew he had that little bodycam audio at the very end of his cross in his back pocket. You could sense that AM was _probably_ lying again but Creighton actually _proved_ it.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I would loved to have seen EDB in action as a prosecutor!!!❤
Creighton proved that addicts lie. Groundbreaking.
