You should put Casey’s name in the title when you feature him. It’s always a pleasant surprise to see him.
I love that Devin wrote a function to calculate distances, but then just wrote an even worse one in-place during the sorting of enemies. Wasn't the point of these GAIs that they can remember prior context? "Hey Devin, write me a function that calculates the distance between two points" — "Sure thing, here it is." — "Can you use that function during the update?" — "What function?"
this is the peak programming content. looking forward to more
As a game dev myself, it’s interesting to see how different the domains are between Prime’s expertise and someone like Casey’s or myself. Prime is a smart coder, and has great takes on coding practices and so much more. But he is a total noob when it comes to game dev, and is humble and not afraid to ask questions about it. I love that attitude, and I aspire to do the same when it comes to coding in areas outside my domain. I’m jealous of Prime’s knowledge and experience in web dev… hope to learn it some day
Finally: a real use-case for ai-coding. Programmer comedy! 😂 This was gold, I laughed sooo hard
Huge shout outs to Casey, Thank you so much for asking Prime to do nearest neighbor scaling on that glorious cheese.
I can't believe this man really made casey of all people code review at an AI Javascript game
"I'm not much into anime" says the guy who used to explain x86 protection rings as walls from Attack on Titan 👍
I cant help but imagine Devin as a battered magician, tirelessly asking, "Is this your pixel?"
I have never seen Casey as happy as him getting that AI generated cheese..
