Due to your new straight to the point approach I’m dropping one for the algorithm 😂
okay commenting for the algorithm. I'm 64 years old and about 150 lbs. don't have any gut health problems. All ready doing the type of things you say in here some. Thank you.
Sipping on my bone broth as I watch this and hearing what you say about polyphenols brings back the old adage "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" which my great grandmother would say almost every morning at breakfast when I was little. Seems there's a lot more wisdom in those old sayings than we gave them credit for.
Leaving this message here to support Thomas for his awesome work! Thank you!
This reminds me of a point in time back when we were living overseas in South Korea, where are my mom ended up with this really nasty bad bacteria in her gut; and there was only one medicine they could give her that was going to get rid of that bad bacteria and it absolutely had to go for her to be safe; but that medicine that gets rid of that bad bacteria just simply gets rid of everything so you're completely nuking the entire gut microbiome all at once it gets rid of the entire microbiome good and bad, and so they warned her that she was going to feel like complete garbage afterwards; and she did feel horrible she really felt nasty and then she remembered that they had told her that and she went and had some kimchi which is a very popular food in South Korea because that's where it originates from, and until that point she hadn't really had kimchi before she hadn't gotten into it she didn't like it before that, but she figured she'd try it because she wanted to feel better and just how rapidly she started feeling better after starting that got her eating it more regularly because that absolutely played a huge role in her recovery... So that just goes to show how important the gut microbiome really is and how that is essential to human health...
gut health is the foundation of overall health, much appreciated!
Yes when my intestines start hollering I just stop eating and drink water and tea
I am living proof of this video, i lost 2o lbs in 2 months by fasting multiple lengths. All my digestive problems are now gone.
Thomas is 100% right about holding off on raw veggies and heavy fiber when your gut is damaged. When my IBS was at its worst (looking 6 months pregnant every single afternoon), eating 'healthy' salads was literally the worst thing I could do. Raw greens act like sandpaper on an inflamed gut lining. What finally allowed my gut to actually heal wasn't just supplements, but applying 'Mechanical Rest' to my actual meals. I stopped forcing my stomach to do the heavy physical lifting. I cooked all my veggies down to absolute mush and pureed my foods for a while so there was ZERO mechanical breakdown required by my digestive system. Once I removed that physical friction, the daily bloating stopped completely and my gut lining finally had the peace it needed to rebuild. Spot on video, the food prep matters just as much as the food itself!
Thanks for focusing on those of us whose gut got destroyed after needing antibiotics!
