I’m confused. I watched lots of real testimonies of people who were on advanced stage of kidney disease and going on carnivore diet actually greatly improved their kidneys health.

Summary for the confused: He said that enducing hyper-filtration by consuming high protein (which he did define: 30g in one sitting) does not inherently cause kidney disease. Hyper-filtration is a symptom of kidney disease, not a cause of kidney disease.

Perhaps we need to stop eating food all together.

I've had chronic kidney stones (uric acid based) for 18 years. I have passed more than 1,000, all from my left kidney. Over the last few years the kidney has decided to form scar tissue which blocks the ureter as effectively as the stones do and has caused my blood pressure to go through the roof giving me stroke symptoms. Surgeons are removing that kidney tomorrow. Take care of your kidneys.

If glucose is the main culprit behind glycation, why are so many people still blindly advising to restrict protein?

My kidney numbers improved eating more protein between 80-125mg daily. As well as my CRP and triglycerides.

I always thought it was weird that doctors tell you to limit protein but then once you are on dialysis they tell you to eat more protein.

I remember limiting my protein intake in my GFR went from 51 to 62
