Running a 3.05 whilst filming, talking and some walking inbetween is wild.
Honestly, Ben, absolutely phenomenal mate. I'm a 6'5 124kg guy and randomly came across your channel about 18 months ago and you have inspired me to get into running. My health has been transformed. Thanks mate.
Great summary! I have failed my 2 primary goals. Made every possible mistake. Started with 30k steps around London on Saturday, then starting too fast, wearing wrong socks etc. I was fighting the pain(blisters) from around 10k mark. Managed to finish the race. Proud but not satisfied. I was so happy I cried from 24mile mark all the way to finish line and after. Thank you Ben for the inspiration. Running became part of life.
Ben is like that NPC in games smiling and having a normal conversation with you while having 3 arrows in his back :) Thanks for the positive vibes. Now i'm so hyped up for the 10k race coming up in few days.
After running both Chicago and Boston, I now firmly believe what many have said before, Majors are for the experience not the time goals. So many things can go wrong during race week/day to derail these arbitrary goals we force on ourselves. Run your race, put in the effort, but not at the expense of the experience! Well done Mr Parkes! Being your real self, as always!
I’m the guy at the finish in the blue and green Mansfield Harriers vest. The videos from you and Sarah helped me so much around 2018/2019/2020 when I wanted to start taking running abit more seriously and I literally had no idea what I was doing or what sessions were and I still watch all the videos today! You guys are brilliant and congratulations on Sunday! As I said “once a legend always a legend” 🙌🏻
Best LM video of ‘25 by a country mile. So much heart in this and as usual keeping it real. Great editing Sarah too ❤
Outstanding! I’ve ran this 10 times since 2002, with a best time of 3:19:36, all following a motorcycle crash where I sustained multiple fractures, including my skull. I came round from a 9 day medically induced coma, then I was put on a treadmill every morning in hospital because I was dragging my left side, so I gave myself a goal of completing one Flora London Marathon. Best thing I had ever done, so unless you have ran in this, you simply cannot convey what this event is.
"my legs are dead but my heart is full" 😭❤️
"Positive Vibes" doesn't come close to describing Ben in this video! Keep up the good work Ben - you're a great inspiration.
