Story 1: cool! OP has a slam dunk lawsuit for wrongful termination because boss attempted to coerce him in front of 2 cops. Get the police report, hire an attorney and enjoy your pay day

First story: NTA, the only thing missing now is an update stating OP is taking his former boss to court for wrongful termination. I would even consider this retaliation.
Take the boss to court for wrongful termination, then you get a payout AND your chair back AND the douchebag has to think about how he acts.
Retaliatory firing for pressing charges on a larcenist? That should be like the easiest wrongful termination lawsuit ever.
Second Story, NTA: OP's mom is a terrible mom. Who tells their own kids that they ruined their life. SHE chose to have kids, not the other way around. Also, OP is still a minor, she is still legally obligated to take care of OP until she is 18
Story 1: NTA. The boss is CLEARLY showing favouritism to that sales rep for some f**king reason. He defends him, says OP should've been faster, and openly ADMITS he will fire OP for getting the sales rep arrested. Good job for doubling down and pressing charges instead of dropping the charges to keep your job.
You can't force children to love step parents... step parents need to earn that love... affair partners might never earn that love.
