My grandmother, who died at age 87 in 1990, always repeated the old adage, you are what you eat. I'm finally realizing that she was right. It's incredible how nutritional guidelines have changed throughout my life. We now know how they have been influenced by lobbyists. I should have listened to her all along.
I’ve suffered from depression and low mood, fatigue, rebelliousness, and several other symptoms since at least puberty and I’m 59 now. Recently I changed my diet radically from sugar and cereals, tons of bread etc to essentially a keto diet, added first some light exercise and worked up to HIIT and resistance training. I feel like I got a full body and brain replacement! My mind is clear, I’m grateful, I’m happy, I’m energetic, I’m everything I always tried to pretend I was. It is all connected!
First time I’ve watched your show here. Terrific interviewer! You never get in your guest’s way, you don’t ask irrelevant questions. You bring out the best in your guest and leave nothing lacking. Can’t even tell you how refreshing and rare this is. You stay present yet inconspicuous, never drawing undue attention to yourself. Yet you play your vital and proper role. And you made it appear effortless.
