I had severe lymphedema in both legs—purple, swollen, covered in scabs, and healing very slowly. I almost lost my left leg once and my right leg twice due to infections. At my worst, I was over 550 lbs. What helped me was going strict carnivore. I did the Lion Diet for 1 year (ruminant meat, salt, water, with occasional fasting). I ate mostly ground beef, one meal a day. In that year alone, I went from 550 lbs down to 262 lbs. The first 6 months I focused on healing—no exercise, just rehabbing my joints. After that, I slowly added movement, starting with just walking one block a day. Then I transitioned to BBBE (beef, butter, bacon, eggs) for another 1.5 years. I stayed consistent, avoided sugar and seed oils completely, and added in more animal foods like pork, chicken, and fish. Eventually I was doing CrossFit, sprinting, and lifting again. I got down to 245 lbs and was in the best shape of my life. My lymphedema, inflammation, and other health issues improved dramatically. For me, strict carnivore didn’t just help—it gave me my life back. At my worst, I was 650 lbs. I tried the DASH and cabbage soup diets for a year, and it nearly killed me—I was severely malnourished and losing muscle, not real fat. Carnivore is what turned things around and ultimately saved my life. I learned from people like Dr. Boz, Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, Neisha Berry, Laura Spath, Dr. Jordan Peterson, Mikhaila Peterson, and Bella (Steak and Butter Gal). More recently, I’ve also been following Dr. Elizabeth Bright and Dr. Chaffee. I’ve been off the diet for about a year and a half, but I’m now back on it again. Without this approach and these people, I truly don’t think I’d still be here.
Wow, I'll bet that guy was overjoyed that he found you and your method of healing. Excellent job Annette 👍👍👍👍👍
The sicker you are the longer it takes to reverse. I’ve been witness to people recovering 99% from a stroke. No noticeable paralysis or brain damage. Most stroke patients quit before that can happen. It’s hard work. But it can be done.
Funny how every doctor will gasp at the idea of fasting, but will happily prescribe a medication so you don't eat!
The detail I always find lacking in these stories is HOW is the person eating on the days that they're eating? I understand that they're eating a ketogenic diet, but are they doing weekly sardine fasts? Weekly water fasts? One meal a day? Time-restricted eating of some sort? What?
I love this “year of telling stories”. So relatable! 🎉🎉🎉
You saved this man's life and so many others!
Can't wait to hear about the 6 week course!
Way to go, Dr. Boz - I love to see your physician self getting excited over patient results. That's the part of the story telling that makes me pay close attention! 👊💪😇✝️
