The CRAP That EV Owners Tell Everyone That They Are Missing Out!

Here in the UK the depreciation cost of EVs is absolutely shocking

There was just a new gas station built in my city. ICE vehicles aint going no where.

Been driving my Model 3 Performance for three years now. I do a lot of driving for work, so far I’ve only done 2 set of tires ($1300 total). I Charge at home and my electric bill is $160 monthly and insurance is $210. Car currently has 57,000 miles. It might not work for everyone’s situation but it certainly does work for mine.

You were being kind. There’s so many more problems with EV’s from the grid being overloaded today to insurance in my state.

I live in a Brooklyn apartment....so, yeah. I'm lucky I have electricity to run the toaster.

I was a pry my dinosaur juice out of my cold dead hands driver up until gas hit $2/l where I live. I'll be buying an EV for my next car so that I can save money on fuel and maintenance overall even with the increased costs of tires and insurance. I won't ever buy new because the depreciation is eye watering but I will let some other sucker eat the 50%+ drop before I ever put my butt in the seat. I do very much agree that it's a choice for people and those that can afford the fuel will keep power demand lower for the rest of us. There is definitely not enough infrastructure all the way down to generation for a full mandated swap to EV only driving.

What about insurance costs?

Now if you buy a Hybrid the government does not have to spend one cent on infrastructure because the infrastructure is already in place. They are called Service Stations.

Here in California they added a tax EVs. Unfortunately, they dont repair the roads with the highest gas taxes in the country

The reality for me is EV's are not for long travel and in town use only. EV owners who say they get long range are full of it. My friend owned a Lucid Air and got 320 miles on full charge. When his family started using charging ports and headlights at night, down to 280 miles. Forget that. I get 510 miles on my Mercedes S class on the highway. Great video as always Mark.
