I just quit caffeine. Sleeping an hour more every night. Finally getting deep sleep, dreaming again for the first time in decades.
Haven’t had coffee or tea 50 for years. Sleep real good, at 75 I mtn bike, hike and walk. Completely got away from allopathic medicine and took a deep dive into supplements and food, it changed my life.
Purely anecdotal, but as someone whose career it was to work with the elderly, without fail those clients who were active prior to retirement and remained so after retirement lived longer, had less pain, better cognitive abilities and were on less medications. It was a lesson I took to heart.
I seen a ton of heavy coffee drinkers live to extreme old age while remaining strong and far from frail. Home cooking, high protein consumption, occasional beer or alcohol, etc have also been in the patterns I noticed thru the years. I trust my eyes more than anything else... "science" is full of conflict of interests and constant contradictions.
Being active is everything. Yes, when I have lazy days that I don't do anything, I feel lousy. If I get up and do stuff, I feel better. Part of the battle is getting myself going when I don't "feel" like it.
I will be 68 in December. I drink one liter of cold coffee in the morning. I brew it hot the night before and put it in the fridge. I am using starbucks french roast beans and I pour it through a paper filter straight into a 1L nalgene bottle. I walk 10,000 steps almost every day. I have been sober since April of 1987 and quit all nicotine a month later... Going pretty good so far. I am a retired IT guy with a youtube channel. Hi Thomas. I love your channel.

I’m 66 years old, a gym rat for years That espresso coffee I drink in the morning gives me the kick that I need to get to the gym
Im 30, I've had way too much coffee in my day. I used to have 24-48oz of pure espresso a day from the time I was 17- 28. I've noticed having 1 12 Oz cup, then 12 Oz of green tea, and one 12oz of either earl Grey or Irish breakfast tea has kept me going to sleep at a good time, sustainable energy and zero fatigue from the old, cup after cup of espresso. That's obviously just my experience but maybe some other people have been dealing with prolonged fatigue and are heavy coffee drinkers.
Ive started to walk for an hour a day. 7 days later. I feel so much more energy.
