In tomorrow's news: Uber Eats Whistleblower goes missing.
There’s a new local burrito joint that opened in my town. Fresh ingredients like chipotle but half the price, and it actually gives you massive portions like chipotle used to do. If our chipotle goes out of business, no one will miss em
This should be on the news. I have a theory that there’s a subconscious pressure the employee feels when they are filling someone’s burrito in front of them. They feel like they can’t in broad daylight go by the restaurant’s meager portion policy. But when there’s no customer present they just go by the portion policy they are always meant to.
As an ex chipotle employee the reason you get less is because they train you to do so. You get yelled at by the manager and person cooking for “giving out too much.” They want to stretch food as far as possible. There were many times where I had to serve food from the morning for orders later in the day. It was disgusting they would literally have the food sit there it would get crunchy and dry and you would still have to serve it. Never order chipotle online it’s the worst quality you can get, just go in person and ask for more on your bowl or burrito. Don’t get me started on the working conditions there too they suck.
This is how you critique chipotle. Not by harassing the workers.
I simply haven't returned to Chipotle in months - people complain and raise their torches and pitchforks online and still go back expecting it to be different. It's like an abusive relationship. Just stop going back and support the local mom and pop burritos
Basically, if you're not there in person - watching them make your burrito - you're getting screwed.
As a former worker here those portions are due to constant nagging and annoying managers trying to meet their quota while pinching every penny they can in anyway possible I would always bless people and get my hours taken for it and the orders have to be done fast so they expect you to not care about what your actually giving the customer. Basically big corporations bad as usual
“You’re paying more for less.” Sums up modern America right there
15:25 so nice to see a father taking his son to Chipotle
