This is so true ! My brother who celebrated 100 in January always ate healthy, exercised and practiced a positive mind set. He walks without a walker , cooks his meals and beats us in playing board games. He was able to overcome genetic prostate cancer when he was 65. He is looking forward to celebrating 101 in 8 months. 🙌
My aunt lived to be 101 and drank 4 cups of coffee a day! Interesting is that she was 9 years older than my mom. Both were diagnosed with what was called geriatric diabetes in the same year *aunt was 79 mom was 70). Aunt totally changed her diet and started walking every day. Mom went on meds, no exercise, and poor diet. Mom had a diabetes related stroke at 80, and we found out she had rectal cancer, stroke condition prevented operation. Mom died at 82, another stroke. Aunt got colon cancer at around 88, operation, no chemo, and still lived to be 101! After her operation, she continued her coffee, walking, and healthy diet!
Eat protein with every meal Weight train Go for walks Get sunshine Socialize Drink water Wear SPF Have hobbies Get enough sleep Get a pet
Two years ago when I was fast approaching 60 I changed my entire lifestyle. I started eating clean & using weights. I quicked dropped 32-1/2lbs & have kept them off. I'm stronger & look younger. People who meet me can't believe how old I am. It's NEVER too late to start taking care of yourself. I want to 100 & out hiking the Appalachian Trail not rotting in a bed in a nursing home.
Interactions with other people is actually what is shortening my life.
He is 71 yrs old, & please don't attack his looks! Ge is talking about health , not beauty, which is more important! He is so right about what he is saying! ❤😊
I had a 12 year old patient in the ICU who suffered a heart attack, he was 150 pounds over weight. His mother kept yelling at me, because the lab called several times to say his blood clotted and to re-draw. I finally had to show her the "Fat" floating in her sons blood. STOP feeding your child fast food!
My rescued Dog is my biggest happiness in retirement, he is pure bliss
I love how Mel reads and studies her subjects’ book so intensively and thus has the best questions !
My grandmother lived to be 100. She didn’t take any medication at all. She walked every day, did all of her own chores around the house, drank coffee and ate a small dessert every day. Also she accepted most social invitations to stay connected.
