This morning I was crying, feeling overwhelmed by how much I work hard but still don't have enough money, thinking of ways to grow my money and be content because I am building from nothing. Then I see Mel's email and I'm like, "what a coincidence", I need this now, You posted this video at the right time for me. Thank You!. As a christian, I think this coincidence is divinely orchestrated, this just can't be a coincidence.

Years ago I adopted the mindset that bills were the blessings I already received. (Water bill? Hot showers over the past month. Mortgage? Roof over my head. Etc.) I’ve been thanking money coming in and out for some time and that has made a wonderful difference. Thank you both. Been listening for years and love your podcasts.

It’s so necessary to hear the lows. Today no one shares the losses but everyone shares their wins. The losses help others so much. Thx Mel

Great information, even for old people like me. I'm 72, struggled with money a large part of my adult life, and came to understand that being content with money involves not wanting everything. I have no money struggles anymore. Why? because I have no desire to own things other than things that provide basic necessities. Material things, other than necessities, fail to improve anyone's life. It took me a long time to learn this. A life well lived is a life filled with meaning and purpose, even past retirement age. Family and friends are important. our faith, our health, filling our days with peace, not chaos. Focusing our days on things that have eternal value, not superficial things of the world that clutter the mind and exhaust the body. Remove the noise, focus on the stillness of the day. This is where we'll find our path.

I'm 60, going through a divorce after 30 years married. Ex ran our company into the ground and got most of the assets. I had a major surprise heart surgery and my mom died in the same year. I'm back at ground 0 feeling EXACTLY like you're describing

Started this episode thinking I needed a budgeting tip… ended up ugly crying about my childhood, texting my ex about emotional wounds, and canceling 3 subscriptions. This isn’t a podcast, it’s therapy with a credit score. 🔥😂
