Stress affects the baby. It causes inflammation. Dad, please protect mom from unnecessary stress. That’s what you can do to help. Mom, please choose calmness and joy while pregnant as best you can. It protect them from obesity and mental problems.

I’ve always been super aware of how important nutrition and exercise are during pregnancy. It was genuinely my plan to eat really healthy, stay active, and do everything “right.” I’ve eaten well for years and still do postpartum, that’s something that matters to me. But during my pregnancy I had Hyperemesis gravidarum — not just “bad morning sickness.” I was throwing up up to 10 times a day for about 4 months. I had intense food aversions, could barely keep anything down, and even with medication it didn’t improve much. I obviously got really skinny because I just couldn’t eat normally. At that point it wasn’t about balanced meals or workout routines, it was about survival. I ate whatever my hormones would allow me to tolerate. For a while that meant tomatoes and mozzarella. Sometimes fries. Sometimes just something very light. The one thing I managed to stay consistent with was taking my supplements. I know this kind of content is important and helpful for many people. But for those of us who went through severe pregnancy sickness, it can also hit differently. It can bring up guilt and make you feel inadequate, when in reality you were just doing your absolute best to get through each day.
Miscarraige is so very devastating, 20 years on a miscarriage at 20 weeks is still painful to discuss. The years don’t make it easier

I’m glad the entire world is waking up to real food information. Finally rejecting processed garbage. Wild that so many are still so resistant and coping and seething so hard about the truth. Sten ekberg is a fantastic resource for factual food information.
I kind of love this episode in that a mama's eating matters when pregnant. When I had my babies, my beloved midwives were certain the way a mama ate had no effect on her baby long term. I happily just kept munching away on all my nutrient dense foods with little to no junk because I felt like my eating probably did matter. I'm happy to hear it did matter!
"Neurons never get replaced" isn't the whole story (33:35). Neuroplasticity is something that can assist in many ways. The cards that you are dealt is not the end result
