Saw the General talk at Texas A&M about 10 years ago. The chair was stupidly positioned close to the edge of the stage. He slipped off the edge to avoid the chair and did a perfect paratrooper roll and bounced right back up like nothing happened. Perfect visual for discipline and making good habits!

I'm old (age 62) relative to what is probably the main demographic for this podcast, but it is undoubtedly one of my favorites. 😊

He is a LEGEND...and was my Regimental Commander. We can learn a lot from people like him.

Chris I love your show, you have my respect and admination for your commitment to spreading wisdom and knowledge. I feel that I have to be honest with you and the impresion I got was that you on this specific show with the General, you used most os the time sharing your thoughts than letting the General share his. I was hoping to hear much more from his life and proffesionals experiences. Still LOVE you please take my comment with an opn heart ! Stay safe and healthy !

Chris, having been a fan of your podcast for a long time, and also knowing a little about General McChrystal, I was delighted to see him on here. You really are innovating with your guests like no one else, and translating their wisdom to the general public. Phenomenal work.

Loved it! Cried a little when he explained what conviction is, because since I was a child, I reflected on my parents' religion, my language, patriotism and I asked "why". Made me finally feel like those decades of thinking and doing what I thought was right while being berated for it and made to feel weak were worth something. Also, I love how you perfectly voiced my own dissatisfaction with the slight lack of discernment around gratitude and standards' integration, using the bell-curve example. I got closure thanks to that and I realized I learn as much about communicating my own questions successfully from you as I learn insights from the guest. Happy to have listened to this.
