Hey wonderful Anton! Thanks for reporting about our discovery, it's a pleasure :) I am an astroparticle physicist and work on the KM3NeT telescope for more than a decade. If you want to create a follow-up video with more details, we have a very nice press kit with infographics, animations and some QnA :) Let me know if you need anything else...
100 trillion neutrinos pass through a bar. "Ouch!" one of them says.
To get a sense of how RIDICULOUSLY powerful this neutrino was, you can actually convert it to joules or even foot pounds. 220 PeV is about .04 joules or .03 ft pounds. These are units we usually use to describe events that occur on a normal human energy scale! Absolutely insane!
It was an advanced microbial civilization testing a new type of warp drive
Thats crazy; a particle that might not weigh anything travels across billions of light years and strikes an atom on a detector placed down in the ocean just for that purpose. Wow.
yeah man, been working out. Throwing Neutrinos a lot these days. Thanks for the unintentional compliment.
You are my favorite channel on YouTube. For years I have been getting my love of physics satisfied by your concise and informational videos. Please don't stop making them for as long as you enjoy doing this, it really brightens my day.
If you are ever feeling down, just remember there is a neutrino out there. Thinking about you
There are real people on YouTube..it only took me 15 years to find one..this guy is great and didn't seem to want anything from me.. all he wanted was to teach me something..what a nice dude.. definitely Worth a sub right here
Usually when I get high energy neutrinos I have to clean my graphics card.
