The second story: What the hell made that judge decide that OP is safe in that household? Honestly, he/she should lose their job because what happened if the abuse got so bad OP decided to off themself? It's a bit stretch, but it could have been a possibility.
OP's Mom in the second story didn't burn the bridge, she destroyed any chance of OP ever looking them in the face again! There's ignoring the obvious truth that the step kids don't like your other child and there's let them either perish or be kidnapped while you're away.
Last story: the irony of the mom's friends telling OP to stay out of her sex life, when the mom wants OP to shoulder the consequences of said sex life by raising the resulting child is just... what the hell?
For story 2, the mom is willfully being ignorant here and is choosing her husband over her daughter. Op If you wind up reading this , I hope you the best
Story 3: My theory is dad is suddenly doing slightly above the bare minimum because there's a wedding coming up, and he'll likely want to walk OP down the aisle, not because he actually cares, but because he sounds like the kind of douchebag who thinks he "deserves" the "honor". Watch him brag about it then likely leave before the reception is even over because he needs to get to his 'other family'.
Story 2. I do not think it is not that her mum does not care. It is more than that. It is allowing her daughter to be a scapegoat so her marriage and relationship with step daughters is okay. Its decision to let their child be abused so they take out the angry energy on another child
You know, I think after the second murder attempt from the siblings I’d probably not want to ever talk to my mother again if I was op
Story 2. That family, besides OP and OPs dad, need to be tested and studied on.
Last story - OP said the neighbor “blamed her Dad for his divorce” as it probably occurred bc he was sleeping with OPs Mom and he was angry but couldn’t be mad at the Mom, so he took it out on the Dad. Also, the anger also clearly comes from him being jealous that the Dad was married to the Mom… what horrible people..
For the last story: and the fact that the mom quickly said ‘no’ before OP can finish her sentence is telling something too.
