As a 77 year old widow I still have so much to do and I love life. I can't imagine just sitting down and retiring. I've created many things at various stages of my life and this is no different! Thank you Mel and Barbara for adding to my own inspired thoughts., This has been great! LOVE!
As a psychotherapist, right away I noticed Barbara’s childhood upbringing is extraordinary—her mother was extraordinary. The power of her positivity and validation and encouragement is something that stands out— when we our unconditionally loved by our parents, we grow to believe we are worthy of the good things in life. I love her example of the nun who told her she would always be stupid because she couldn’t read and how her mother was there for her to counter that negativity. Most of us were not that lucky and still have those negative thoughts about ourselves running our lives. The good news is we can change we can challenge those negative influences. This is the bread and butter of my work as a therapist. “Change your thoughts, change your life.” thank you Mel for having her on. I am so inspired today!
Barbara Corcoran is simply Inspiring! 83 yrs, and I will start tomorrow to find out what it is that's directing me to do!!!!!! Lovely Barbara!!!!!!!!!!;
This was so inspiring! I have watched this episode twice now because there are multiple GOLD nuggets of inspiration, knowledge, and strength. I am 50 and I have been thinking that there has to be more than working a 9 to 5 for someone else. I have had an idea to start a business for awhile now but thought I wasn't good enough. But, I am good enough and I am jumping feet first in now, I registered the domain after watching the show and I am going all in and going for it!! Thank you!! <3
I love Barbara Corcoran! She is simply amazing and so inspiring! I am a 53 year old woman who has started a business doing what I love for the first time in my life. I just love her attitude and how she looks at life especially for women. Thank you Barbara and Mel!
I spent my entire adulthood managing other peoples businesses and making the money while I could barely afford to put food on the table. At 44 I started my own business using all of those skills and tripled my salary that first year. 11 years later, I’m about to start my second business at 55 years old. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re too old to keep reinventing yourself.
I fell in love with Barbara Corcoran when I first saw her on Diary Of A CEO.
I wish Barbara have on her own podcast..You can feel in her voice the truth.
Just started a new job and I'm completely out of my comfort zone. Really needed to hear this today! Thank you.
Great to see an older woman who still sees limitless possibilities for her life. At 74, I feel the same. I’m revising a passion, writing about my experiences while aging. I pray for all older adults to keep growing, learning, loving, enjoying, and finding purpose. This episode was so inspirational - thank you Mel and Barbara.
