The double irony, OP’s ex wanted to be a “trad wife” and when OP told her his “expectations” (literally regurgitating the content she watches) she gets big mad and at the end she’s worse of financially. Wonder if she’ll expect her sister to bankroll her life like she expected OP to.

Story 1: She didn't want to be a tradwife. She wanted to be a queen, and wanted OP to be her servant. Like- isn't a trad wife supposed to watch over the house? Bake? Clean it? Etc? Like OP said. "Like in the videos she watches".

“she said that family should take priority over any stuff” funny how mom doesn’t drop everything and rush to her child, she’s just selfish and is trying outsource her responsibilities onto OP.

“From 0-12, kids can’t get enough of their parents” And if you’re a decent parent, that affection will come back when they’re young adults and have established some of their own identity/independence ❤

4th story: OP should ask his father to go to the court and change 50/50 visitation to 0/100. His mother is not only abusive, but also forces him to do parenting stuff she and her new partner should do...

Story 4: nothing frustrates me more than parents parentifying their oldest child. It's not a child's responsibility to take care of your other kids. It's YOURS. YOU find a way to make it work and LET YOUR KIDS BE KIDS.

Story 2: A-hole for what? Not letting him disrespect you to everyone he knows, and sticking around to be his safety net? He just gonna ask for a divorce once he gets a new job. Don’t be sorry because you’re giving them what he asked for.

Story 3: They were trying to steal it, and the book was an excuse. If it was just that they could’ve changed it, watch OP delete it and de on her way. Not try to ignore OP’s messages, that BS about boundaries with someone else’s property, and try to intimidate her. OP did what anyone else would. Have the cops come so she can get her stuff back. And now that it’s over, there’s no reason to stay in contact with these people.

That last story really pisses me off because I had a mom that was a workaholic and it really did cause problems in her marriage and my childhood. My mom wasn’t around for everything but the moments when she booked it outta work (sometimes from a different country) to see me play MODIFIED basketball or play my first violin recital, or see me at the science fair always will remind me that she loves me and would do so much more for me than anyone else in her life, even if we don’t get along most of the time.

Story 2: Dude saw himself as so "High Value" that he figured he could just dump his wife and find someone else that he liked better. Sorry dude, you made your bed, lie in it
