Investigating European Food Quality and Health Differences in Mallorca

Discover precisely why many people feel healthier eating in European countries, and learn specific, actionable strategies to replicate that food quality in your daily diet back home.

Short Summary

  • Access superior meat quality, often indicated by high carotene content in the fat (orange hue).
  • European regulations permit significantly fewer chemical additives (under 500 approved) than US standards (up to 7,000).
  • Artisanal products, like single-source olive oils and raw dairy, are more accessible through local channels than typical US supermarkets.

The speaker, Dr. Paul Saladino, travels to Mallorca, Spain, to investigate claims that European food quality results in better health outcomes compared to the United States. This report summarizes findings regarding grocery store limitations, surprising regulatory differences, the superior quality of local meats and oils, and practical steps for seeking high-quality alternatives domestically.

I flew to Spain to learn more about European culture, lifestyle, and diet. In this video, I’m uncovering the secrets behind why European countries tend to have higher life expectancies. I’ll be breaking down the different foods I find at grocery stores, farmers markets, and restaurants - and exploring how they may contribute to the impressive health of European populations. I strongly believe sleep, diet, and lifestyle are the biggest levers you can pull to heal and improve your health. It’s always meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy. This is an animal-based diet - and I believe it’s the most optimal diet for humans. --- --- --- 00:00 Intro 03:28 Arriving in Spain 06:48 European grocery stores 13:22 Raw milk hunting 15:02 Farmers market 18:18 Going out to restaurants in Spain 20:46 Looking for the best olive oil 23:05 Is European pasta healthy? 25:25 The difference between American and European food --- --- --- If you can't get fresh heart & liver in your diet, try our 100% grass-fed desiccated beef organs at Heart & Soil: https://shop.heartandsoil.co/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=VIDEOID Looking for a healthy and delicious snack? The first supermarket wasn't a supermarket, it was a small shop for tourists in a tourist area.

Going to Mallorca to see Spain is a bit like going to Hawaii to see the US.

My wife and I went to Europe for the first time this past April, we took a river cruise from Amsterdam down to Basel Switzerland. We drank like drunken sailors and ate like gluttons and I ended up losing 5 pounds on a two week trip. No bad stomach, heartburn or food poisoning. What a treat!

Bro visited a tourist island outside of mainland Europe and says he checked the European food, what a joker. Let me fly to US Virgin Islands and say I've checked out America

Wait a minute. You go to Mallorca - an island that receives 10M tourists a year and then go to a small tourist village that has a supermarket that's there for the tourists, expecting that that's a typical Spanish food store?!? 😂😂😂 I can tell ya: that's not what a typical Spanish village looks like. Even small villages in Spain have great markets with fresh vegetables, fruits, etc. Your choice of location to make this Due Diligence is quite simply, crazy 😂
