Been watching you for the past year and I'm happy with my current shoe rotation (after retiring multiple shoes): Daily - Gel Nimbus 27 Speed and race day - Superblast 2
If I want something comfortable I always end up in my Triumph 21s. I have done nearly 700k in them and they have virtually no wear on the soles at all, they need little lace pressure for good lockdown and are silky smooth for me. My Zoom Fly 6s are OK for comfort, but I have to do the laces up too tight to get a good lockdown making them less comfy. My Boston 12s are OK for comfort, but the tongue has very little padding and even though I changed the cheese wire-like laces that seem standard on many Adidas shoes they are behind the Zoom Flys for comfort for me. For me I am seeing a bit of a pattern in that adding carbon/stiffening elements requires a firmer lockdown in the lacing = less comfort. No argument that the Zoom Flys and the Boston 12s are much quicker than say the Triumphs of course though!
Without even watching the video i know Superblast 2 will be in it😂
Ever heard of Xstep u should try some of the shoes it's very affordable and very good quality
What is your opinion on Saucony , Ben?
This is a great review, more like this please. As data shows, the average runner only does 3-5 miles, 4-6x per week, so one shoe to do it all is valuable info. My all time fave was OG Peg Turbo, which of these is most like those? Obviously could be Peg Plus, maybe ES4? Keep up the good work.
Managed to pick up a pair of zoom fly 6 for €135 other week from all tricks. Even came in flames 😂 one run it so far that was as a tempo and perfect for it
Finally ordered the SB2's !
This was a good summary
Love the Pro 4, awesome marathon she and the Nimbus 26 is my recovery shoe. Perfect pairing
