ive been over 20% my whole life, but a couple months ago i started eating right, walking in the sun everyday for cardio and hitting the gym 4 days a week to lift weights and ive already dropped 20 pounds of fat. im starting to see my abs for the first time ever! consistency is key along with a proper diet.
I’ve always known 3 takeaways here, albeit for different reasons: 1. That you’re not burning as many calories as you think you are 2. You can’t rely on cardio for weight loss 3. Not all calories are the same Of course I still do cardio, and have every day for over 6 years. I’ve lost 75lbs in the first 2 years, and I continue to do so because the health benefits far surpass merely being a weight loss tool. Also, genetics plays a HUGE role in your overall body composition, not to mention other things people take to modify their physiques.
Fasted Cardio in between Zone 2-Zone 3 is a game changer
how to increase very easily your daily activity when you are sedentary behind a desk.: have a pair 8 to 10 pounds dumbells your desk. Stand up (or even stay sitted if you are not able to standup) and play with them when you are having a call and do squat in them when you are brainstorming ideas or in planning mode. It will make you move throught the day, feel more productive (yes it feel paradoxal) and increase your general metabolism. It's amazing and efficient.
150 grams of protein, 1500 calories, 15,000 steps has worked for me to lose fat quickly
Pixie Stix are still around? Wow! Flashback to my childhood in the 70s. We ate pounds of sugar, and burned it all off playing outside.
I beg to differ often people that are 40% to 35% see changes relatively quickly just by adding in mild basic exercise and portion control. From 15% to 10% can often be tricky if you have been following a good regime and regularly exercise and no doubt track calories/macros. It’s often harder to find things you can add with burning calories or subtract in food terms.
Exercise related energy compensation isn't well understood. One study found that half of the participants simply didn't exhibit the phenomenon at all over the course of the study. It's positively correlated with BMR, so it's likely the positive correlation with overweight in some studies is due to having higher BMR. Standard deviations tend to be huge. I think we're jumping the gun on giving fitness advice based on this. People should still try to find what works best for them specifically.
Book called Fit or Fat in the 90s I think it great. Gives science loosing fat. And how to applying aerobic & anaerobic (short sprints) exercise esp recovery period. Helped keep starting out EXTREMELY practical. I didn't even change diet until about 4 weeks into exercise routine.
That's it Thomas, I give up pal. Dominos ordered now
