It’s kinda funny that working out is basically a simulation of what we should be doing throughout the day. Walking everywhere and moving heavy things
Some interesting ideas discussed here, but Thomas please get better thumbnails! "Stop squatting for reps" WTF? There was no talk of squats, or rep ranges or anything like that!
When both of these men talk, i listen. Chris is one of the strongest men ever to walk this planet and s wealth of knowledge. I have been watching and listening to him for years as a powerlifter. But, as a carnivore, i find that i can still train for high reps as well as i always could eating carbs. Maybe because I'm fully fat adapted? Plus, my top end strength keeps going up too. So the carbs are necessary is a hard sell for me. But I'm still watching and listening...
You had me at ‘Stop squatting’
Nice seeing the guy who got me into lifting and fitness 15 years ago and the guy who got me into health a few years ago collaborating.
I came here for squats - I got squat!
Great episode need one specifically on pumps/vascularity supplements going more in depth glycerol(best), TMG, citruline malate, NO makers like beets/arugula, not just get under 10% fat to see all the veins lol. I’m sure there’s a TDL episode on that jsut can’t find it with search
a few years ago i would workout for like 20 minutes a day literally the same few muscles... n i noticed my biceps would actually grow ( even on 20 minutes a day( probably 5 minutes of which were biceps))
Being natural at almost 66 i can say for me to much soreness is not good..i like to feel slight pain and fullness in my quads next day...nutrition plays an important roll..as i aged over last 55 years of training i realize my ability to repair damage is at about 60% as it was at age 16...but knowing this makes it much easier to find my sweet spot in weekly training to make great progress...
Despite the clickbait thumb & title, the concepts on creating a natural lifting suit effect through the pump was a real opener and something I'll be using to increase safety and gains!
