For that first story...My bet is that Sue reported them to the IRS. She's the bookkepeper. She probably has access to the tax documents if she doesn't do them herself. That "I have no idea." is too innocent for me to NOT think it was her XD

As an accountant. I know exactly who reported Peter to the IRS. It was Sue.

Rule 1 Never mess with a veteran. Rule 2 Don't mess with the IT guy. Rule 3 Don't even think about messing with an I.T guy who's a veteran!

*1st Story:* It amazes me OP didn't immediately report Peter to the state labour board when he got his first reduced paycheque. I guess military vets have much more patience than I thought.

Story 1: I get the feeling that Peter got alienated by his wife Karen which is why he gradually became nastier and nastier. It's a shame, because he was such a chill guy. Honestly, I feel like things could've gone smoothly if Peter hadn't married Karen, because I get the feeling she talks Peter into doing all those things, and hates OP for no reason. Then when HE starts acting nasty himself, I'm like "Okay, this guy's a lost cause".

My guess is that it was Sue who sent the IRS all the information. Partly from how she said "I don't know who ...", when asked by OP. Also, she wasn't part of the lawsuit (as far as the story was told), and as such she never signed the agreement to keep quiet about everything (as everyone who was part of the lawsuit had to). I'm guessing that Sue is the new owner of the car, she said was behind the dry cleaners.... but that just my guess.

Story 1: just remember that the most common form of theft in the workplace is wage theft.

Sue me story: I’m pretty sure they didn’t go to meditation to settle their issues, but that slip of the tongue made me laugh.
