I prefer walking outside because I find it strengthens my ankles and feet with the uneven ground surface. Plus I get sunshine and interaction with people and nature. Enjoyed this GREAT conversation Jesse and Dr Courtney 😃

?'How do I know how far I can go'? - years ago I broke my left leg badly after falling off a roof.... the hospital wanted to pin it .. I refused ... ok, the surgeon said ... off you go! He was busy that night. He said to rest a few days and then walk on it ... dont mind a little pain ... but listen to your leg and what it needs. Amazing advice. when one part wasnt healing .. he said, walk on it more. Everyone else was saying I was walking too much. I did wrap it up in seaweed as well! But I walked as much as I could bare. Within two weeks of pushing it a bit more ... it was fused! The Surgeon said it's now stronger than the other leg. Inspite of smashing it up pretty badly with a few breaks in there, specially inside my foot .... I have no issues with it at all. Turned out he used to work with atheletes and they often also dont want metal in their limbs. I also took symphytum homeopathic remedy. Excellent.

great talk ...as a barber of 35 yr exp, i stopped wearing shoes with huge cushioned heels, & started wearing s.a.s. (san antonio shoe maker) shoes with a very minimal, if any, heel (aka; level) & i noticed a huge improvement in my foot pain... thank u

I was born with club feet in 1972. At three months old, I had corrective surgery that was a quick fix but left me permanently compromised and weaker. I worked as a grocery bagger during highschool and it really helped my confidence and mental health despite being extremely physically challenging. I was quite active as a missionary following high school. And I have found my work at the post office for the past 25 years as necessary for my physical and mental health. My feet get so tired and I can barely stand up to get out of bed some days but I'm worried that if I ever stop, I'll never get going again.

In my 50’s I found that when I woke up after lying down for any length of time it hurt to put my feet on the ground so much so that if I had to pee in the night I would crawl to the toilet. When I started to ask what had changed in my life I found that my diet had changed considerably. Prior to this pain I was eating gluten free but really hadn’t paid much attention to it. I ate that way because my youngest is celiac and i just liked the food that I fed her. When I got together with my now husband, I started to eat with him and was now eating gluten. After every weekend that we got together and I ate what he ate I was in pain. this pain would go away through the week till the next weekend we got together. It would come back. I finally figured out that I couldn’t eat what he ate and went back to gluten free. NO MORE PAIN! And now if I accidentally eat gluten the pain comes back and lasts for several days.
