Wow makes me so proud as a South African to see your excitement for Comrades. I am from Durban so this race is my childhood, watching it every year on telly. Now living in Germany, brings such emotion seeing this. I watched your video to prep for my first marathon at Lisbon last October, then did Barcelona 6 months later, now preparing for Berlin my current home city in September. EXCITED! Love your videos, especially the shoe comparisons (ASICS all the way). Thanks for the content and inspiration!

Ah guys, this is so great to watch. My mum is South African and we spent many holidays with my grandparents out there - I didn’t know it then, but their village (Hillcrest) is on the route!!! And the drive we took down past Pinetown into Durban is where you will have run. I’m 49 soon and, I reckon, gonna attempt to get to Comrades in 2027 for the 100th edition. My oh my I would be so emotional. My uncle has run it several times including sub 7:30 one year.
