Biggest dislike with many of the top tier Asics is the lack of availability, hens teeth
If ASICS sorted out their stock availability & colour ways they would absolutely dominate the running scene. Seems like they're not interested in either though
Novablast 5 got me from dying doing 3km in December to doing a easy 10k today :) definetly will get another pair as soon as it's worn up 😋
Current rotation: Novablast 5 Purple / Novablast 5 Black / Novablast 5 Bandit
Was waiting for this video! When i got into running 6 months ago I bought the Novablast 5 after reading all the rave reviews. Fabulous shoes. Then bought the Superblast 2 for some longer and/or up tempo runs. And then just added the Gel Nimbus 27 last week for recovery runs. I think I'm all covered for now (famous last words) and found 'my' brand. Thanks for the awesome content Ben, keep it up!
As someone who's disloyal to brands in general, the only exception is Asics and running. Since I started my running journey I've tried most brands but keep coming back to Asics. Just fit my feet and running style. Even though I have "better" shoes and newer versions, my all time favourite is the Noosa Tri 14. Still have two pairs and sometimes take them out for a fun ride.
Just bought the Kayano 31, man you feel the arch support even when you stand idle. Fantastic piece of engineering
I have the Superblast and the Novablast and if I had to pick one and you put the price in the equation, I'll go with the Novablast because for the price difference I do not think the Superblast if offering much more. Also a shoe that did impressed me, probably because I was not expecting much from it, is the Cumulus. I happen to love the feeling of this old school shoes with gel in a world where we are inundated with superfoam that want to make you forget you are running on asphalt and concrete.
Had my Novablast4 for over 1000km, still happy with them - although they are not as springy. Recently got the S4+ Yogiri - which I like, but I don't have the money to try loads of different shoes to know if there are better. The Yogiri has helped me set new 5km and 10km PBs.
Current rotation: Superblast 2 (Longrun / Everyday) // Nike Zoom Fly 6 (Speed / Everyday) // Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 (Race)
