A big thank you from a wide feet runner.
Appreciate you doing this Ben, especially since we know you have narrow feet. I’ll also add a few more options that weren’t mentioned in the video: 1) Mizuno Neo Vista 2 for long runs 2) Altra Lone Peak 9+ (though this is for trail running) 3) Topo Atmos (best overall for wide feet according to runrepeat) 4) Hoka Bondi 9 - available in extra wide for women’s (almost unheard of in other brands)
I do not have a wide foot, but wearing a shoe with room in the toe box just feels so much better, prevents blisters and reduces foot fatigue, especially on longer runs.
For wide feet, you just have to try the shoe. Too many shoes come in a 2E and there is little difference between it and a regular width shoe. It helps to try the shoe and then make the decision.
Shoes don't widen in the midfoot which is annoying. Only the ghost max does this but its rubbish for running fast
9 seconds is a new PB
Upto 50 miles now in my Mount To Coast C1's and they just seem to be getting better and better!! Thoroughly reccomend for wide foot
as someone with wider feet, the EVO SL actually fit surprisingly well, i cant even wear Hoka wides for example
Every hoka I’ve ever tried was too narrow including wide, I don’t even wear wide sizes
I have wide feet. I like the Hoka Clifton 10. Light ,soft ,roomy and 4E... maybe not for some but I find 4E means your choices are limited. I bought 2 pairs. Hope a wide episode will be a common subject. Thanks for thinking of those of us with wide feet. You might add some shoes are made on larger last so we can fit into d or EE of some shoe models.
