I remember standing in the shower, crying because I didn’t know how I’d feed my kids after losing everything. Watching this reminded me how deep I had to fall before I could rise. If you're in the pit right now, keep walking. It gets better. 💔💪
"Dude you're not burned out... you were never on fire" This hit me on a deep personal level lol.
I love how much attention Dave is getting on podcasts lately. He deserves it.
Clash of 2 Worlds. I worked at a radio station that played Dave in 2001. After 9/11 freaked us all out and crashed the markets, I decided to follow his plan and get out of debt. It took just over 2 years. I was still debt-free with a huge emergency fund 2 years later when the radio station fired me. Since then, I've had the financial freedom to pursue whatever I wanted and now make a better living teaching martial arts 3 hours a night, 4 nights a week than I did working 40+ hours at the station plus DJ-ing on the weekends. 2020 hits and my business survived easily while others in my field failed. I'm looking at retiring as a millionaire (hopefully) in a little over a decade, and it's thanks in no small part to following Dave's plan 20+ years ago.
In 1997, I read Dave Ramsey’s book and it changed my life. Not a rich person, but at age 59, am debt free and pay cash for everything. Thank you Dave!

"I have to go, or fear will take over"—absolutely brilliant, basic, and true.
I came from zero money. I worked four jobs through college and paid off my debt a year later in 2010 right before getting married. That year we paid off my husband's school debt thanks to learning about Dave Ramsey. A few years later we got our first house with 20% down. 6 years later we had two kids, a paid off our house, zero debt and only one income. Five years later we are in our 30's with an average income but an HSA, 6 months emergency fund, fully stocked college funds for both kids a very healthy retirement and over a million dollars net worth.
Love Dave Ramsey. He got me through my divorce and being homeless with a kid to having zero debt and two paid off homes. No joke. Thank you for spreading the information!
Started Dave’s plan in 1998 and got retired at 61 eighteen years later and had 3.5 million in net assets and no debt. It works if you grow up and get serious with your personal finances
