Could you do a video on kidney health? I feel like kidneys are often time neglected, and I do have some questions about it. For instance, you talk a lot about potassium intake being great for the heart since it helps lower sodium levels by higher excretion of sodium through urine, but can't that be a bad thing for our kidneys long term due to higher glomerular pressure or something (that's an honest question, I'm not well versed enough in kidney physiology to know if that hypothesis makes sense)? I've been thinking a lot about it ever since I've heard that one of the beneficial effects of SGLT2 inhibitors might be reducing glomerular pressure in the kidneys due to lower glucose absorption by them, so by the same token, increasing the concentration of other things could have the opposite effect. I know the idea that high protein consumption damages the kidneys has largely been debunked and you talked about it already, but I'm wondering more on the effects of ions (Sodium, Potassium and Calcium) and diets/supplements that interfere with them.

I've recently started drinking a glass of strained tomatoes daily. I make sure to buy one with no added salt (!) and then I use a potassium-based salt substitute to flavor it. Gives me a good dose of potassium and some bonus lycopene and fiber as well.

"Wow, this is such an insightful video! It’s amazing how the right diet can impact longevity and health. I love how these studies break down the science behind it all. I'm curiousβ€”did any of the diets stand out as being particularly effective across multiple studies? Definitely need to start paying more attention to what I eat after watching this!"
